Una de Gato Uncaria tomentosa, cat’s claw (un-ya day gat-o)
The una de gato is used for removing blockages in the energetic system and also energy that has become stuck and can cause sickness. The head medicine spirit of this vine is in the form of a black jaguar. The vine itself has protruding thorns that look like cat’s claws from which it takes its name. The jaguar is fearless, focused and determined. It tracks the energy that needs to be unblocked and swallows it, removing it from the energetic system, re-establishing a balanced flow of energy. Connect with this tree for purification, Inner security and confidence. Like the jaguar who through its self-assurance and confidence does not shy away from adversity but engages life head on. The colour associated with this essence is Indigo blue, representative of the Jaguars regal-ness. This colour is intense and electric.
Each essence has been prepared with its own medicine song, an icaro. Icaros are a form of communication between the shaman and the spirit world. The icaro is used to set the healing intention and to ask the tree for assistance. Each essence has been uniquely created by choosing certain qualities of each tree and calling forth its medicine with the icaro.

Other traditional uses
This is a vine that can reach 30 metres in height. Its stems can reach a diameter of 30cm. Found on its young branches are spikes which curl round like cats claws, from which it takes its name. This plant is considered to have excellent anti-cancerous and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used to treat inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and rheumatism. It is commonly used for its known stimulant effects on the immune system, used to detoxify and treat general illness. It is also used to treat aids/HIV viruses, swelling, fever, diabetes, gastric ulcers, asthma, cirrhosis and immune system disorders. It can also regulate the menstrual cycle and act as a contraceptive. The bark is also macerated in sugar cane alcohol and used as an aphrodisiac.
This tree vine is a sacred teacher plant and used by shamans for its curative/spiritual qualities. It can be used as part of a shamanic dieta or as an admixture to Ayahuasca.

This is my fav out of all of them
As amazing as all of them are healing emotions and bringing things up, if you suffer from any sleep paralysis or fears this will help. So much so that I am ordering myself another bottle. This will be my third :) thank you Mimi - My fav one of all the essences.
- I have been through a lot of stuff this past year and fear was one of the things. So much so that I had nightmares, sleep paralysis and fear of going to sleep. Within a few days of taking this I was no longer scared of going to sleep and I was stronger in my dreams if anything was happening. I think I've had about 4 bottles of this one. If u have any fear, this is the one for u. However all the drops are amazing and I can't rate them enough! Nothing happens by accident, I was guided to find these. Thank u Mimi!! Xxx

This Jaguar spirit has drenched me with such beautiful, fierce, safety and protects me with it's life; pouring safety deeeeep into my soul, I have never ever known. EN: I have tried several of sacred tree essences from Mimi. Every single one is different. I can't say I had a pleasant experience with Una de Gato as this got me involved into tough episodes of my life connected to physical challenges and choices I have to make. Emotionally it was like an explosion. I am grateful to the knowledge I was given an experience I have had. I am looking to diet on Una de Gato in future as I have a feeling my journey is not yet completed with this medicine but I am fine for now.

After receiving this essence after taking the first drops within a few hours I cried as emotions come up this lasted 2 days . Intense emotions coming up . Dreams were vivid and clearing . It mellowed out for a week then I had a week of intense fears and this was hard at times to navigate through it . It brought up anxiety and deep fears but by breathing through it I integrated this into my body .
Some past emotions came up from relationships which needed to be cleared . Now after been guided back to health and flow I am still working with the jaguar energies to move forward . Was going through an emotional time when I started with Una De Gato, and it really helped in bringing those emotions out and letting energy flow more freely. - I bought Una De Gato because at that point in my life I just felt I needed to let my past go, as its been 7 years now since I walked out on my husband and left two businesses that were doing so well and a lovely home but the marriage was draining me. I still kept holding some form of resentment. When I started taking this Essence, a week later, not only did I accept my present life, but my friends and work colleagues also started behaving differently, mostly there were more friendly and helpful.
